Cordale Housing Association named Scotland’s Small Housing Association of the Year
Cordale Housing Association scooped Small Housing Association of the Year Award at the Scottish Home Awards Gala Dinner held at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday 15 June 2017
This industry award is an excellent accolade for Cordale Housing Association who were up against strong competition in the category, after being named as one of three finalists short listed for the Small Housing Association of the Year award in May.
The award is recognition of the quality of performance, services and outcomes Cordale provide to tenants and the commitment of committee and staff to deliver the highest standards. The award is especially poignant given Cordale’s tremendous journey of transformation over the last 4 years; going from high regulatory engagement with the Scottish Housing Regulator to low engagement last year to being named Housing Association of the Year this year.
Margaret McCallion, Cordale Housing Association Chairperson, said “I am absolutely delighted that Cordale has been named Small Housing Association of the Year. Our purpose is to provide homes and services that make life better. This type of external recognition is great to receive, as it provides assurance what we are doing is having a positive impact on our people and our community.
We will not be resting on our laurels though. We are building a new office in the heart of Renton and have ambitious plans with our partners to bring new affordable homes to Alexandria and Renton. Although we are delighted to receive this prestigious award, we want to do more and achieve greater outcomes, as we remain passionate and driven to provide the homes and services that make a difference.”
