Cordale Housing Association's Sub Committees

The Management Committee has an overall responsibility to create sub-committees and working groups as are considered necessary for the smooth running of the Association.  Sub committees implement and monitor policies and procedures.  They also allow the Management Committee to deal with more strategic issues. Cordale Housing Association at present operates the following sub committees: 

 

Project Management Sub Committee

 

This sub committee meet on a monthly basis.  The Project Management Sub Committee looks at:

 

  • Development strategy
  • Housing mix, design and layout of future new build properties
  • Design briefs
  • Appointment of consultants and contractors
  • Contractor performance

 

Housing and Asset Management Sub Committee

 

This sub committee meet on a quarterly basis.  The Housing and Asset Management Sub Committee looks at:

 

  • Tenancy agreements
  •  Allocations
  • Rent levels
  • Rent arrears
  • Participation
  • Estate management
  • Reactive repairs
  • Planned maintenance
  • Cyclical maintenance

 

Staffing and Health & Safety Sub Committee

 

This sub committee meet on a quarterly basis. The Staffing and Health & Safety Sub Committee look at:

 

  • Conditions of services
  • Recruitment
  • Staffing structure
  • Discipline, appeals and grievance
  • Staff appraisals
  • Training
  • Health & safety

 

Finance, Audit & Risk Management Sub Committee

 

This sub committee meet on a quarterly basis.  The Finance, Audit & Risk Management Sub Committee look at:

 

  • Budgets
  • Analysis of quarterly expenditure
  • Long-term budgets
  • Appointment of internal auditors
  • Approve all offers of private finance
  • Monitoring of risk registers
