Housing Information and Advice

Location of service 

The service is provided from the Cordale Housing Association office 1 Red Row, Renton, Dunbartonshire Monday to Friday, from 9am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 5.00pm (office closed Wednesday morning for training)

Type of service

Officers will actively work with individual customers to identify the specific issues that you want help with. They will discuss your options and agree a course of action with you. They will provide practical assistance according to each individual’s needs. If it is necessary and appropriate they will refer you to another agency that is better able to take action on our behalf.

Methods of delivery advice and information is provide:

Face to face at our office; by telephone and where necessary an officer can visit the customer’s home.  General information is also provided by leaflets, newsletters and on the website www.cordalehousing.org.uk
 
Remit/purpose of the service

We provide general information and advice to our tenants, sharing owners, owners whose properties are factored by the Association and to housing list applicants.  Our aim is to make sure that customers understand their housing rights, responsibilities and options.

The service provides information and advice housing issues and provides practical assistance including explaining decisions, writing letters and completing forms.

When further assistance is needed beyond that which we provide Officers will refer you to another agency which has the expertise to help.
