Housing Benefit entitlement
Housing Benefit is paid to people on low incomes, who are liable to pay rent for their home.
This depends on the amount of rent, which you have to pay, your income, and whether you have other adults living with you.
REMEMBER – IT’S YOUR RIGHT TO CLAIM IT – so if you think you may be entitled to Housing Benefit contact our office or alternatively you can contact your local council offices who will be able to assist you completing the necessary forms.
West Dunbartonshire Council now have an online housing benefit calculator where you fill in your details and it will calculate your housing benefit entitlement.
Change of circumstances
If you are currently claiming housing benefit and have had a change in circumstances e.g. you have started working, please complete the Council's change in circumstances form which is available on their website or contact Cordale Housing Association on 01389 721216.
