More and more people in Renton are getting involved in the regeneration of their village through Cordale Housing Association. The Association’s Annual General Meetings are always well attended each year and new people joining the Management Committee.
Cordale has put a lot of work into empowering local people and encouraging them to participate at every level. The Association is involved in every aspect of the development in Renton, from employment to housing to health, and these are the things that are of interest to the community and people have recognised they can play an active role in future developments by joining the Management Committee. For the fourth time in six years, Cordale required to organise an election as demand for seats on its Management Committee exceeded the places available. A ballot was held at the AGM and the following members secured a place on the committee, Archie Thomson Jnr, Tom McKeown, Margaret McCallion, Nazerin Wardrop, Jane Hamilton, Veronica Hamilton, Graham Kemsley and Patricia Weir.
